The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it really is alarmed in regards to the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office focused on service the area on a daily basis. The assistance level produced for intervention ordeals a substantial influx of potential beneficiaries, which makes it hard with the office to read more attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to empower the servicing of all consumers and improve use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
